A Day in Philly
Today was a really fun day. We spent the morning seeing the sites in historic Philadelphia. If you ever get the chance, it is really easy and pretty cool. All of the big sites are right next to each other. We walked a few blocks from our hotel to the visitors center. Then we crossed the street to see the Liberty Bell. Across one more street was Independence Hall. We toured several different rooms where the Declaration of Independence and Constitution were signed and the room where John Adams was sworn in after George Washington. (Interestingly, there was a large of contingent of European correspondents there the day of the second inaguration because they didn’t think America could manage a peaceful handover of power.) Best of all, all of the sites we visited were FREE!
After that we moved on to other important things… FOOD! We grabbed a big cheesesteak for lunch (it was as big as I am) and I got to go to the Hard Rock Cafe for the first time for dinner. Other than that we’ve pretty much been chilling in our awesome hotel room. I like Philly!
I like the picture with your wind-blown tie, Mr. Bear! Very nice 🙂
